Tickets go on sale today for the last ever Battle of the Ad Bands to be held at the doomed Kings Arms, which has been marked for demolition.

The 2017 show kicks off at 6pm on Thursday 31 August.

This year there are six of the best agency bands going head-to-head:

  • Last year’s winners, Friends Electric – Barnes, Catmur & Friends Dentsu
  • Pegasus and the Job Numbers – Colenso BBDO
  • Still Serenading Shirley – FCB
  • Kurt Cocaine and the 27 Club – DDB
  • The Strands – Saatchi & Saatchi
  • And of course, Flying Fish

Bring your gold coins for the sausage sizzle. All proceeds will go to the New Zealand Music Foundation to help with their goal of changing lives through music.

“Thanks again to our other fabulous sponsors who make it happen and for their amazing prizes,” says Comms Council communications & administration executive Katie Ward.

Those sponsors are: Fortis Travel and their special getaway prize, Event Cinema tickets, Gourmet My Food Bags, Monteiths beer giveaways, Fruit Guys fruit boxes, chocolate from Whittakers, phone cards from Vodafone, Blunt Umbrellas, free icecreams from Much Moore, NW Group, Radio Hauraki, Fish & Clips.
