Mediaworks group content director Leon Wratt has challenged M+AD’s reporting of Q4 radio survey data provided by the Radio Broadcasters Association on Thursday, and published in M+AD on Friday.

“Overall, this last survey was a great result for Mediaworks and disappointing one for NZME,” he says.

Wratt says nationally, Mediaworks stations held a 51.9% share (up 0.9%), while NZME was only 37.4% (down 1.3%). In Auckland, Mediaworks held a 43.9% share (up 2.3%, while NZME scored 39.7% (down 3.9%.

“The M+AD report was based completely on a release from RBA and GfK – and this release was redistributed in full to our readers in Friday’s email,” says ed David Gapes.

Wratt says he did not see the original PR. “The two figures I have asked to be corrected are not in that release,” he said.
