AA Insurance taps DDB

After completing a review last year, AA Insurance, has appointed DDB Group as its new advertising agency partner. DDB will replace AA Insurance’s current agencies Starcom, Special and Twenty over a three-month transition period.

“Insurance is a competitive market and Kiwis have a greater range of personal insurance options than ever before,” said AA Insurance head of marketing Richard Park.

“We’re looking forward to working with the team at DDB, Rapp and OMD, who will be sharing their expertise with us, and bringing a fresh perspective and ideas that will help us meet our goals in this growing market,” he said.

“We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with each of our agencies, who have delivered immense value to AA Insurance. We’ve partnered with Starcom for the past nine years, and Special and Twenty since 2011.

“While we hope to continue working with Twenty for our data, we’ve had the opportunity to review our future requirements.

“As the boundaries between marketing have become fragmented, with a blurring of lines between traditional, direct, digital and media disciplines, it made sense for us to go with the full service group that is DDB.”
