The global infatuation with emojis has now reached the ad agency world, with the launch of Advertising Emojis, an app created by Swedish ad agency Dogwash that contains a collection of 70 iconic advertising images and logos.
Emoji, for the uninitiated, is the Japanese name given to emoticons and smiley faces used in emails and text messages.
Dogwash ceo Carl Winkler says they designed the app for everyday texting between creative partners, or as an advertiser texting ideas and feedback to a creative agency: “How to respond to a really, really good idea? Nothing beats a shining gold Lion.”
