AIG is to host Raising Your Game, a breakfast meeting produced by NZME Events that will focus on the “determination, preparation and innovation” that business and sports teams require to reach the next level. The event will be on Tuesday 27 June at Auckland’s SkyCity Theatre at 7am.

A high-powered list of speakers, from both on and off the rugby field, will speak to the common-ground held by businesses and sports teams alike, with a focus on the risks and opportunities that come with taking a team on the next step to greatness.

Richie McCaw, Sir Graham Henry, Sean Fitzpatrick, Sir Clive Woodward, Dr Farah Palmer, Brent Impey and Daniel Glantz will all talk about their experience of leading high-performing teams to success on the global stage, highlighting the parallels between sports and business.

“AIG has two A Category double passes to the final game in the Lions tour to give away.”

Tickets cost $99 each. The doors open at 7am for stand-up networking breakfast and registration; the event begins at 7.30am, and it’s a wrap by 9.30am. Raising Your Game will be emceed by sports journalist Scotty Stevenson.

AIG global head of sponsorship Daniel Glantz hopes the event will leave people feeling inspired and reflective. “There are many similarities between leading a great sports team and a great business team,” he said. “We are looking forward to exploring those while learning from some of rugby’s best leaders, and continuing AIG’s support of the All Blacks and New Zealand Rugby.

“We’re excited to be partnering with the NZME Events team to bring Raising Your Game to local business people and rugby fans.”

Glantz says AIG has two A Category double passes to the final game in the Lions tour to give away, and urges prospective attendees to enter the draw by purchasing tickets before Tuesday 20 June.”
