AUCKLAND, Today: “Dear Ed,” writes freelance Swedish-Kiwi filmmaker Arvid Eriksson. “I’m chuffed to be in M+AD and part of last week’s Rockit story*, so I’m keen to get the name right.
“You have credited the director as David Eriksson, whereas I’m actually called Arvid Eriksson.
“I’m a screenwriter, director and digital creative working in advertising, digital, film and television.
“If you publish a correction, I’d be dead keen to be known, as I’d love to get it out into my social media channels.”

Eriksson has made award-winning commercials, films, and on-air campaigns in Sweden, UK and NZ for 20 years. His films have been funded and distributed by The British Film Council, The Swedish Film Institute and Canal +.
He’s been described as “an agile director with creative integrity and attention to detail. He’s built a reputation for reliable delivery, humour, energy and a love for the craft of filmmaking.”
Credits include the Grand Jury Prize at Film Invasion LA (which premiered on Amazon Prime last week). He also won a Cannes Bronze Lion with his tvc for Yellow NZ Robyn’s Undies.
Eriksson’s clients include Range Rover, NZTA, Vodafone, Spark, Māori Television, Holden, Meridian, TipTop, and Canal+.
He lives in Auckland with his family and is currently developing his first feature film.
