Former Mojo NZ & Australia production chief tapped by Finch: Finch has appointed Corey Esse as managing director/executive producer, heading Finch’s film production and coordinating the wider Finch team on integrated projects.

Prior to joining Finch, Esse was the MD/EP of Exit Films for two years after returning from his role of head of production at Fallon in Minneapolis. Before that he spent 17 years at Mojo where he was the head of production in Australia and New Zealand.

The new role will see Esse managing production in both Australia and New Zealand.

To coincide with the signing of Esse, Finch will be opening a Melbourne office to better service the Victorian advertising community.

Recruiter Font has recruited branding specialist Megan Savory as its NZ country manager: Savory will lead Font NZ’s business growth, key client relationships, and the hiring and development of the internal team.

Font director Jacqui Barratt said that industry specialists who shift to recruitment can deliver strong results due to their hands-on experience in the industry, and she believes that Savory will be perfect for the new role.

Savory has 15 years of industry and management experience. Previously she worked at Radiation in Eden Terrace, managing branding campaigns and developed content for clients who included Caltex,  Delo and Havoline.

Popular judge: Fresh from a stint as a juror on the London International Awards, Whybin\TBWA NZ creative director Lisa Fedyszyn has been appointed to the 2015 New York Festivals executive jury, alongside some of the most awarded and accomplished chief creative officers in the industry.

Leading up to awards night in NY on May 21, the judges will gather for five rounds of live judging to determine the Finalists and the First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, and Grand Award winners, and Best of Show.
