Adshel NZ general manager Nick Vile has announced two appointments to the Adshel team as the company prepares for strong digital growth in 2016.

Ben Gibb has returned from extended sick leave to continue his role as sales & marketing director. Gibb will report to Nick Vile.

Rick Goodwin joins Adshel in the newly-created role of digital & technology sales manager responsible for amplifying digital creative advertising solutions for clients. He will report to Ben Gibb.

Both appointments are effective immediately.

Gibb has over 15 years of sales, digital and management experience across the media industry working at companies including NZME, Yahoo!, Bauer Media, HB Media and IDG Communications.

Of his return, Vile said: “I’m pleased to welcome Ben back from sick leave. Ben’s return coincides with an overall focus on innovation and growth for the company. He will be a strong asset to the Adshel New Zealand leadership team. He has strong innovation and management acumen which is important as Adshel enters its next phase of growth following the launch of Adshel LIVE last year.”

Gibb said: “It is a great time to be returning to Adshel. I’m excited by the opportunity to contribute to their 2016 growth plans anchored by a strong digital and data focus.”

Rick Goodwin joins Adshel from Yahoo! NZ where he spent three years as senior account manager and then group sales manager. He has 12 years experience in the industry having held numerous sales and planning roles at various agencies in New Zealand and the UK including House of Kaizen, All Response Media, MEC and DDB.

Gibb said: “We’re really excited to have someone of Rick’s calibre onboard. He brings the type of in-depth digital media knowledge that will enhance the team’s skillset in offering clients true digital-led solutions rather than out-of-home solutions on digital screens.”

Goodwin said: “The introduction of digital screens to Adshel’s offering was a compelling proposition for me in transitioning from online to outdoor. I’m looking forward to working with the team in combining the strengths of digital with outdoor.”
