Dentsu Aegis Network has bolstered its Australasian marketing & communications team with the appointment of Andrew Hewett in a newly created role as head of corporate affairs, based in Melbourne*.

“This appointment represents the group’s commitment to investing in its marketing and communications function to support its agencies,” said DAN ANZ’s *Melbourne-based ceo Simon Ryan.

“I’m delighted to welcome Andrew to our team and to bring his experience and capabilities to bear for all our people and agency brands,” he said. “As a company, we work with some of the most prominent clients and business partners across Australia and New Zealand.

“As we continue to grow and evolve, we need to build a strong corporate communications function that supports Dentsu Aegis Network and all our agency brands, and ensures our continued position as a leader not only in our industry, but within the broader business community.”

Hewett’s appointment follows Rebecca Tos’s promotion to *Sydney-based chief marketing officer for Dentsu Aegis Network in May. Hewett was most recently group general manager of external communications for Coca-Cola Amatil *Australia. He is a communications specialist with more than two decades experience across corporate affairs, change management, PR, issues management and digital and social media.
