Auckland-based Film Construction has added Way Ward director-producers Sam Doyon & Morgan Way to its Sydney team.

Originally hailing from Wollongong, they now ply their trade up and down the east coast of Australia. Their partnership formed at the University of Wollongong and they have been creating, collaborating and growing facial hair ever since.

“Creating high quality film and content, Way Ward are first and foremost ideas guys who work with a passion and authenticity that sets them apart from the pack,” says Film Construction Sydney executive producer Matt Hayward.

“Concept is king is their central proverb as they strive to create original, interesting, and fresh work in an industry too often dominated by mediocrity.

“I am very excited and proud to bring on young Sam and Morgan as my first official signing for Film Con Sydney. They are a couple of bright stars on the horizon and I believe there are big things in store for them”.

Sam Doyon, one half of Way Ward, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of Film Construction, being able to put our stamp on Sydney and really shake things up.”

Morgan Way, the other half, said: “Film Construction and Way Ward are a really great fit. We love to push the boundaries of what we do and Film Construction is the perfect place for us to do that.”
