Goodoil Sydney has signed Justin McMillan to its directors roster for representation in NZ & Australia. McMillan is an experienced commercials director, whose cv includes branded content and documentaries.

“I’m honoured to join the Goodoil roster,” he said. “I feel I’ve matured as a filmmaker in the last few years and it’s time to change up a few gears in 2016.”

McMillan has previously produced ads for Qantas, Audi, Toyota, NZ Tourism, Tourism Tasmania and Queensland Tourism.

Goodoil says he has worked closely with Heliguys to develop a signature style of shooting based around multi-camera setups using drones.

Mellow Yellow

Yellow has appointed Darren Linton to the role of chief marketing officer. Linton returned to New Zealand recently after 16 years in the UK where he was managing director of Zero Degrees West in London. He also held senior marketing positions with Universal Pictures and the Walt Disney Company.

“We are delighted Darren has chosen Yellow to come home to,” said Yellow ceo Michael Boersen “We’re going through an exciting period of change, and Darren’s extensive executive-level experience in the digital marketing space will be instrumental in successfully executing our strategy.

“Acting CMO John O’Tool has done an outstanding job delivering critical pricing and marketing automation projects for Yellow and will remain with us in the short term in an advisory capacity.”
