Christie Tanner returns to Adshel Auckland sales team: Tanner has re-joined the company as senior account manager.

Reporting to group sales manager Simon Paul, she will be managing a portfolio of agency clients including OMD, Dynamo and Spark PHD.

Tanner left Adshel in 2014 to take up the role of agency account manager with Adshel owner Clear Channel in London. In that role, she was responsible for client relationship and revenue management, working on the Talon/Posterscope agency team in presenting creative concepts and selling across the entire CCUK product portfolio including Adshel, billboards, digital billboards, Storm (premium digital billboards), static and digital mall signage and socialite (digital bar network).

“I am delighted to be welcoming Christie back into the team, particularly following the recent launch of Adshel LIVE in the New Zealand market,” Simon Paul said.

“The experience Christie has gained selling across a digital out-of-home medium in a market at the forefront of innovation will be invaluable to the team. In addition, her exposure to selling across CCUK’s full product portfolio is something we will be keen to tap into to ensure we continue to provide our advertisers with the right solution for the right briefs.”

Adshel NZ general manager Nike Vile said: “Our team is going through a transitional period and the appointment of Christie, who has a wealth of experience, product knowledge and expertise, will be important in realising the potential of the Adshel NZ products. We have ambitious plans through the back half of the year as we look to capitalise on the growth opportunities available to us, via both the current market dynamics and the new products in our portfolio, and having Christie return to the team will go a long way in supporting the plans.”

Tanner has over eight years experience in outdoor media sales in some of the world’s leading out-of-home advertising companies including OGGI Advertising, Adshel, Clear Channel UK and Val Morgan Outdoor. Her appointment is effective immediately.

NZME Radio promotes Alex Larsen to GM of Auckland Direct Sales: A finalist for Metro Sales Team of the Year at the NZ Radio Awards, Larsen’s sales career has flourished since starting with the company as a sales manager and working his way up the corporate ladder.

“There’s this vibrant life force running through NZME and it’s exciting to be part of,” Larsen says. “The combination of product leadership and customer intimacy creates unprecedented opportunity to deliver innovative solutions to our clients. Collectively, the Auckland Direct team continues to foster a culture of success, both for our customers and people.”

Larsen will report to NZME Radio direct sales director Neil Jackson, who hired him into his first full-time position aged 22 knowing he had potential to be a ‘big talent’.

“Alex brings to the team the rare ability to think strategically and plan integrated campaigns with clients, while maintaining the ability to have a tactical approach when needed,” Jackson said. “His people management and leadership skills make him the ideal person to lead NZME Radio’s Auckland Direct Sales to success in its own right and across the greater company as our integration strategy continues.”
