Arrivals & Departures: Publishing legend quits NZME

After two years in the job, NZME commercial director Sandra King has resigned – apparently to set up her own business.

King was responsible for sales revenue strategy development, implementing market analysis, identifying and advising on new revenue streams and core audiences.

M+AD has been unable to reach King for comment – but a statement from NZME says she has moved on “to pursue a new opportunity”.

King joined the company from PPR (where she was country manager). Until 2013 she’d been a prominent figure on the media landscape as group sales & marketing manager for Fairfax.

She originally signed up with APN, before the rebrand and restructure to NZME.
