Music streaming service Spotify has hired Sydney-based former Southern Cross Austereo national sales chief Andrea Ingham to head up its NZ & Australian sales division.

As Spotify’s new ANZ sales director, Ingham will be responsible for driving ad sales revenue and strategy. “A proven performer, Andrea brings with her a wealth of radio, TV and agency experience having held a number of key sales management positions,” says Spotify ANZ managing director Kate Vale (also based in Sydney).

“She arrives at a time of record growth and innovation at Spotify, which recently rolled out an improved targeting suite as well as video advertising.

“Andrea is an outstanding talent and a respected leader with over 18 years’ experience across multiple media and markets.”

Prior to her role as national sales director at Southern Cross Austereo, Ingham was Sydney sales director at Nine Network Australia. She also spent eight years at Regional Mediaworks as national sales manager.

“In just over three years Spotify has carved out a commanding lead in music streaming across Australia and New Zealand,” says Ingham. “There isn’t a more dynamic, more rapidly evolving space in digital today and I’m excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.”
