This is the first 2015 edition of the M+AD daily newsletter. We at M+AD are back from our short summer hibernation – but with the golden weather rolling on, we’re still very much in holiday mode.
What a job! Work hard then hit the beach. To paraphrase Douglas Adams: “We love deadlines – we love the whooshing noise they make as they go by!” Or, as Confucius said: “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
2015 promises to be a hell of a year – kick-started by the best summer in decades. M+AD’s objectives for the year ahead are unchanged: To keep the comms and media industries informed and entertained with a smart website and daily email news updates.
Our database has grown 60% since we took over from e-fastline on April 11, and our page hits have grown in parallel:
- The M+AD website had 43,635 page views last month (including multiple views)
- Our daily emails make 34,000 hits per month
- Our readership database comprises 50% ad, media & PR agency creatives & suits, 10% TV commercial & film companies, 40% media & publishers.
- Our daily emails have an immediate Open rate of 50%+ (and 45% of the rest are opened within 24 hours). This, we believe, is almost unprecedented (most successful EDMs score 20%).
