AUCKLAND, Today: Quantum Jump Founder and CEO Ben Goodale has been named in Campaign Asia-Pacific’s 50 over 50 list, joining three New Zealand leaders recognised across APAC.

The list celebrates people continuing to shape media and marcomms, rather than quietly wandering off into the career sunset.

Goodale’s recognition reflects a long run across agency leadership, independent agency building, mentoring, community work and a continued push for more inclusive, flexible workplaces.

Ben Goodale, CEO, Quantum Jump, says he owes his success to his team and clients, “It’s delightful being recognised for this accolade – and really I owe it to the very smart people I have worked with throughout my career, not least the Quantum Jump team I work with every day, and very loyal clients who trust us.”

“For all the noise around rapid technology change, the core factor is that effective advertising communications work when they are grounded in an understanding of the consumer and consumer behaviour. People don’t change anything like as fast as technology – the latter is simply an enabler.”

In 2019, at 50, Goodale founded strategic marketing agency Quantum Jump, proving that some people celebrate milestone birthdays with cake, and others launch a business.

The agency works across CRM, loyalty marketing, CX and digital advertising, with recent award-winning work including Mitre 10 Club’s Discount Days campaign.

The campaign won Best Loyalty Programme Short Term Marketing Initiative at the Asia Pacific Loyalty Awards in 2026. Quantum Jump expanded into Australia in 2025, one of the few examples of a New Zealand independent agency successfully making that leap.

Former Anomaly New York executive Rachel Wintle leads the Sydney office as GM, joining a Quantum Jump management team made up mostly of women.

Goodale has also long championed flexible working and mentorship, with staff working together across awards, thought leadership and wider industry activity.

That approach is reflected in the agency’s strong staff retention rate, sitting above 80%. Goodale also represents independent agencies as an elected board member of the Commercial Communications Council of New Zealand.

As an elected Trustee Director of the Portage Licensing Trust, Goodale has advocated for fairer wages, more funding for community groups and better hospitality outcomes.

Before founding Quantum Jump, Goodale helped quadruple the size of TBWA/Tequila Auckland and earned global recognition at Cannes Lions.

Goodale later founded justONE, which became a leading one-to-one agency and helped create Farmers Club and New World Clubcard, programmes still used by millions today. In 2013, justONE was acquired by Clemenger Group.

Quantum Jump is now planning further growth in Australia, while also preparing to move into larger CBD premises in Auckland.

The agency continues to grow across New Zealand and Australia, embracing the AI age while continuing to collect industry recognition.
