AUCKLAND, Today: Val Morgan reports record audiences for the opening weekend in NZ of Fast & Furious 9, which delivered the highest numbers since Jumanji: The Next Level in December 2019.
The 14-39 demographic provided 77% of the opening weekend’s audience numbers.
Fast & Furious 9 delivered a four-day audience of 179,000 – up 91% week-on-week. The movies numbers eclipsed 2019’s Fast franchise spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, opening weekend by +30%, proving a pent-up demand for blockbuster content on the big screen.
