AUCKLAND, Today: The Comms Council has posted the entry call for the 2019 Battle of the Ad Bands, this year sponsored by Flying Fish (scroll down for the entry link).
The entry form must be returned to office@commscouncil.co.nz by Thursday 19 September.
The 12th annual edition of the big show will be held at Galatos in the Auckland CBD in just eight weeks – on Thursday 17 October, starting at 6.30.
Bohemian Rocketman will see each band sing one Elton and one Queen track.
This year’s Botab has been fetchingly titled Bohemian Rocketman. “With the release of both the Queen and Elton John movies in the last year we just couldn’t decide on one, so it’s both!” said Comms Council ceo Paul Head.
“As per usual you’ll have 15 mins on stage. Bohemian Rocketman will see each band sing one Elton and one Queen track. Any other songs will need to be on-theme.”
