The Comms Council (formerly CAANZ) and Flying Fish have released details of this year’s 10th annual Battle of the Ad Bands, fetchingly themed The Battle of the Decades. Band registrations open soon.
“Whether you grew up listening to Dolly Parton, Frank Sinatra, or Lady Gaga, there’ll be something to shake your hips to,” says the blurb. “To claim the auspicious title of 2017 Botab champions, round up your agency’s best musos, register your band, and get practising!

“For those of you who have more moves like Jagger than musical talent, the battle takes place on Thursday 31 August. Tickets go on on sale mid-August.
Each band will have 15 minutes to fill with songs from different decades.
