Branded photo app launches with MediaWorks on board

A Kiwi photo & kiosk company – with enthusiastic support from MediaWorks Radio – has just launched a fully customisable branded photo and video marketing app called Biz Brand Cam on the Apple App Store.

Biz Brand Cam harnesses the power of user-generated content to amplify the reach of a brand’s marketing activities. The app’s customisable settings panel allows the branding and functionality to quickly and easily be tailored to suit each activation’s requirements.

For instance you can collect branded photos, animated GIFs, or videos, and let consumers upload them to their Facebook, Twitter or email, while including Fan Gates to encourage new visitors to like your brands Facebook or Twitter Pages. There is also the option to include a competition entry form or database collection tool, or include a link to your own database URL.

Alternatively, branded photos can automatically upload to a daily album created on a brand’s own Facebook Fan page, with an email sent to the user containing a link to their photo.

But most importantly, says Hamilton-based Ro Edge (who runs Kapja Ltd, the company that developed the app), brands can take full ownership of the entire user experience by replacing all the branding elements with their own.

While there are similar products available in the market place, Edge says Biz Brand Cam is the first fully customisable app of its type available for brands and agencies to download directly from the Apple App Store.

Biz Brand Cam is available for free download from the App Store, with in app subscriptions available for one month, three months or one year to unlock its full functionality. It gives brands and their agencies the opportunity to offer branded social photo & video marketing at their events, rather than contracting companies such as Smile Dealers and Interlike.

“MediaWorks have been our launch partners,” Edge says. “Their radio brands have been using the Biz Brand Cam app throughout the country to extend the reach for their brands beyond the circle of people immediately at their promotions, events or experimental marketing activities.”

MediaWorks used Biz Brand Cam to capture branded photos, animated gifs and videos of audiences, that were shared online, at events such as Rhythm & Vines, the NRL Nines, The Winery Tour, and the X Factor Boot Camps.

“MediaWorks are now also offering Biz Brand Cam to their advertisers as an additional marketing tool to compliment their radio campaigns,” Edge says.

MediaWorks marketing manager Emily Hancox recognised the importance of leveraging these social interactions to connect and grow their audiences.

The Biz Brand Cam app also provides detailed analytics so its customers can quantify the ROI for each event.
