Cannes picks party partner

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has selected Paris event agency Creative Spirit as its production partner for the official 2017 opening and closing galas. 

With each party hosting around 4000 people, the official galas are a highlight of the festival schedule and will feature live music, immersive entertainment and innovative design.

Creative Spirit will handle concept, design and production for both parties in addition to delivering the Cannes Lions Beach, used for daytime events and networking, for the second year in a row.

The opening gala takes place on Monday 19 June and features breakthrough music talent, creative activities for revellers and specially designed ‘wild’ menus.

The closing gala (Saturday 24 June), which features a major live music act (ytba) and a fireworks dispay, starts after the final and biggest award ceremony of the week and marks the official end of the 2017 festival.

The Cannes blurb reads: “Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity welcomes around 15,000 attendees from the global creative communications industry. The eight day festival marks the culmination and start of the creative year, offering the global creative community an opportunity to set the agenda for the year ahead through networking, inspiration, learning and celebration.”
