Top honours – the Supreme Award – went to Chorus at last night’s TVNZ NZ Marketing Awards dinner in the Great Room at the Langham, together with their marketing partners Chameleon Partners, Waxeye, and Contagion for Gigatown, which also won the Technology and Utilities/Communications categories.
The night’s other winners were Data Insight, Douglas Pharmaceuticals, Farmers Trading Company, Health Promotion Agency, Independent Liquor, Land Rover New Zealand, MediaWorks, Mitre 10 (New Zealand), New Zealand Automobile Association, Refresh Renovations, SKYCITY Auckland, Slingshot, Tait Communications, and Westpac with Air New Zealand.
In addition to the category awards, three outstanding individuals were also honoured. From very strong fields of finalists, the Rookie Marketer of the Year honours went to Sam Forrest of Frucor Beverages and the ‘Mightiest’ Marketer of the Year is Jules Lloyd-Jones of Foodstuffs New Zealand.
Inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame was Theresa Gattung.
The Awards, now in their 24th year, are a celebration of everything that makes marketing great in New Zealand and beyond. It is also the only awards programme dedicated to recognising and rewarding excellence and thought leadership in the essential business practice and discipline of marketing.
The Award sponsors are: Premier sponsor TVNZ, principal sponsor NZME, and category sponsors BrandWorld, ICG, Lab360, Mailshop, NewsWorks, NZ Trade & Enterprise, TNS, Ubiquity and The Wine Portfolio.
Convenor of judges Adrienne Bonell said: “The TVNZ NZ Marketing Awards present the marketing community with an opportunity to showcase what we consider our best and brightest work. We thank everyone who submitted entries, applaud the finalists and congratulate the 2015 Winners.”
Marketing Association ceo Gill Stewart acknowledged the commitment, expertise and feedback the Awards judges provide towards the ongoing enhancement of the judging process. “We are extremely grateful to all the judges,” she said “and particularly to those who travelled from other centres.”
