Mumbrella warns there are less than two weeks before entries close to this year’s annual BEfest Awards – billed as the only programme recognising the best branded entertainment work created here and in Australia.

Awards categories include Marketing Team of the Year, Best Content Strategy, Best Use of Film Craft, Best Branded Publication, Content Company of the Year, and Best Branded Entertainment – Fiction and Non-Fiction.

“For the purpose of these awards, we define branded entertainment as original content created or funded by a brand, or where a brand integrates marketing messages into content, with the primary intention of delivering an engaging experience to consumers,” Mumbrella says.

Entry into the BEfest Awards is online for all categories unless otherwise stated via the awards website.” Please be sure to understand the entry mechanism before starting work so you don’t put unnecessary effort into production of your entry. You can continue to login and save changes to your online entry or entries up until you make your payment.

“However, to avoid losing work due to potential technical issues, you may want to prepare your entry as a text document and paste it into the entry portal once completed.”

Entries will be accepted until midnight Friday, August 19, 2016. The judging period covers the 12 months up to that date. You will be notified by email if you are successfully shortlisted for an award/s by Tuesday 27 September 2016.

The fee is $290 AUD + GST (per entry). Late entries will be accepted until midnight on Friday, 26 August, 2016 and will incur an additional $100 fee for each entry.

The awards ceremony will be held early November (date and venue to be announced) and a condition of entry is all finalists must have a representative there to collect an award should they win.
