Colenso puts social to work for BNZ

Colenso BBDO and BNZ have created GoodHome, an online engagement programme with an eDM and Tumblr blog designed to inform and inspire BNZ home loan customers on everything from interior styling, to planning their next renovation and how to spot the next hot suburb.

“The benefit of having genuinely useful and interesting content delivered through a social platform is vital,” says Colenso director of integration Maggie Christie. “It allows customers to easily share the smart thinking and spread the brand’s promise to non-bank customers.

“Recognising that BNZ isn’t an authority in these areas, we partnered with content experts Michelle Halford of The Design Chaser, Stephen Hart of Hometopia.co.nz and DIY expert ‘Cocksy’ to deliver valuable, rich and current content, combined with financial tips and tricks to help customers pay their home loans off faster.”

BNZ customer strategy chief David Kidd said: “Buying a home is the biggest financial commitment most New Zealanders will make. BNZ realised that the way to help their home loan customers be good with money was to help them be good with their biggest asset: their home. We wanted to find a way of turning all New Zealand home loan customers into smart homeowners.

“GoodHome is a brilliant example of customer engagement through relevant, value-add content which helps customers be good with money.”
