AUCKLAND, Thursday: Podcasting is in its ascension. The medium is turning marketer’s heads the world over, with brands always looking for new ways to interact with their customers and infiltrate popular culture.
“So …” ask Colenso BBDO’s Beth O’Brien (creative group head) and Joe Carter (communications director) … “if it’s our job as marketers to inspire people, how do we, in turn, inspire marketers?”
It’s this question that led Colenso to launch The Love This podcast series. The weekly podcast is designed to unravel some of the biggest global trends & untrends in business, culture, creativity and innovation, interviewing some of the best and brightest minds on the planet.
“If it’s our job as marketers to inspire people, how do we, in turn, inspire marketers?”
Previous episodes include a yarn with Jeff Beer (advertising editor, Fast Company) about the science of cutting through in a noisy world, through to Ethan Eismann (director of product design, Airbnb) and the thinking behind Airbnb’s ambition to design the ideal at scale.
O’Brien and Carter said (via press release): “Podcasting is such an intimate medium. It enables us to share thinking from around the world directly with our listeners. The opportunity to talk about the most pertinent topics not only educates and inspires our listeners, but also reinforces our thinking when it comes to the work.
“The feedback from brand marketers, editors and advertisers to date has been fantastic and we couldn’t be happier as we head into recording for Season 2.”
Episode 7 with Mr President founder/ceo Laura Jordan Bambach, is available to stream or download today.
