Contagion has won Realestate.co.nz’s media & creative business after a pitch – understood to include Sugar & Partners and Republik.

There was no incumbent – previously, the online real estate company worked with several agencies on a project basis.

“Realestate.co.nz intends to be the leading real estate media in New Zealand,” Contagion ceo Dean Taylor told M+AD this morning.

“And we intend to provide the marketing tools to make that happen!”

Property is one of New Zealand’s foremost obsessions, Taylor said. “So this is an incredible opportunity to work with such an ambitious client who are leading the industry into the future and we can’t wait to tell their great story.

“We’ve got great synergy with this client. They’re a challenger in the market, much like us, and have very big plans. The entire agency is thrilled to be part of building on their success.”

Realestate.co.nz’s prime competition continues to be Trademe, currently the market leader.

Realestate.co.nz is owned the Real Estate Institute (REINZ) and is the official online media company of the NZ real estate industry
