Contagion has won the Harcourts full-service advertising business – including strategy, creative, media, digital and social – in a pitch against unknown agencies.

Harcourts has 180 offices throughout NZ. There was no incumbent – Harcourt’s Kerry Jackson told M+AD this is the first time the company had appointed a fulltime agency. “Previously, we worked with a number of agencies on a project bases,” she said.

“We were really impressed with Contagion throughout the whole pitching process, from the very first step to finally awarding them the account,” said Harcourts ceo Hayden Duncan.

“They were extremely professional, motivated and innovative in their work on the pitch and they demonstrated a comprehensive, clear understanding of what Harcourts stands for and what we are trying to achieve. We are excited to be working with them.”

Contagion ceo Dean Taylor said: “We are so proud to get to work with these guys. They are ambitious, hugely talented and have an insatiable business appetite for moving forward. Getting to know their business has involved interviewing business owners across the country and conducting consumer research with both buyers and sellers to make sure the planning process is robust.”

Contagion media partner Richard Thompson said: “The property market is fast moving and massively diverse, which really gives us the opportunity to explore a number of strategies and new media avenues.”
