AUCKLAND, Wednesday: Downtown indie brand agency Culture&Theory has announced two critical hires – Su Chin Chow and Jed Misa. MD Jonte Goldwater said: Culture&Theory is on a mission to build a team that delivers thinking, creativity and technology that is truly connected up.

“With the hire of Su Chin Chow & Jed Misa, we’re securing two critical pieces on that mission.

“Our newly appointed design director Su Chin Chow brings a multidisciplinary background, working with cultural institutions to globally renowned tech brands.

“Working across New Zealand and the UK, she’s led award-winning projects and teams with a range of unique challenges that have shaped her open and holistic approach.

“Su Chin is a highly strategic designer with relentless optimism and curiosity, surfacing ideas and bringing them to life in a way that delivers on business objectives and builds long-term client relationships.

“Over the next year as Culture&Theory evolves, we look forward to announcing new hires in key senior roles.”

“She has ambitious plans to grow the diverse design talent at C&T and inspire clients to go beyond their comfort zone for brands that will endure into the future.

“Her role is instrumental in lifting craft, collaboration and commercial impact across the board.

Jed Misa joins us as head of social to spotlight the growth of C&T’s social media arm. A social veteran having worked in the industry since 2012 (back when you could go viral organically on FB!), Jed has spent the last few years directing teams of social content specialists, working with clients large and small, locally and internationally.

“Jed is well known for combining a deep knowledge of the social and content space with a futurist mindset to form creative solutions that help brands to elevate their social game. He’s a pro in navigating the intricacies of different platforms and user behaviours to build engaged communities and exceed consumer expectations.

“Rejuvenated following an epic Aotearoa road trip in 2020, he’s delighted to be on board with the C&T team to springboard C&T’s newest offer.

“These are exciting times for brands, and changes in our clients’ and consumers’ worlds only creates opportunity.

“Over the next year as Culture&Theory evolves, we look forward to announcing new hires in key senior roles, enabling us to close the loop around strategy and insight, design and creative, digital & technology and deliver a truly connected brand experience.”
