DDB NZ came out of Friday’s Australian AWARD Awards ranked at No 2 Agency of the Year, while Clemenger BBDO|Touchcast Wellington came in 3rd – and scored a Gold Pencil for NZTA Hello.

“Being the number one New Zealand agency and second overall at AWARD was really pleasing,” CCO Damon Stapleton told M+AD. “What was even more pleasing was winning the 16 Pencils across a wide range of clients and categories. So, well done everybody.”

Held at Carriageworks as part of Semi Permanent festival, the ceremony delivered 35 Gold Pencils, 117 Silver and 149 Bronze Pencils.

The award for Agency of the Year was presented to Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, which also took home the most Golds – 20 across PR, Direct Marketing, Digital, Innovation, Integrated Campaign, Market Disruption & Product/Service Development, Creativity for Good, Design, Poster and Outdoor, Promotion & Experiential, Film & Video and Branded Entertainment & Content.
