AUCKLAND, Today: DDB Aotearoa yesterday launched a new integrated Lotto campaign  the latest iteration of its Imagine series – running on TV and across digital and social channels.

The 90” film is out of AUNZ’s Eight Productions, and is directed by Jamie Lawrence, produced by Claire Kelly, and it stars Tukairangi Maxwell.

DDB launched the Imagine platform in 2015 with Pirate Ship, followed by Mum’s Wish in 2016, the award-winning Armoured Truck in 2018 and L05T in 2019.

“I love a cliffhanger film. The whole shoot experience was a joy.”

Eight MD/EP Katie Millington said: “This latest instalment takes the audience on a journey of anticipation. Drawing on the power of imagination that comes with buying a Powerball ticket, the campaign is inspired by the fact that many people put off checking their ticket to give themselves more time to dream.

“Taking this one step further, the story follows a team of researchers who find a Lotto Powerball ticket while working in Antarctica.

“The film finishes with a cliffhanger, leaving the audience in suspense – a feeling familiar to any Powerball player.”

Jamie Lawrence said: “I love a cliffhanger film. I love the intimate, yet unfathomably vast setting. The whole shoot experience was a joy.”
