After eight successful years in production, Design Folio magazine (an annual) has amalgamated with sister publication Denizen (a quarterly) to become Denizen Modern Living – Denizen will now be published five times a year (with the fifth issue incorporating Denizen Modern Living).

Based in Auckland, Denizen is a multimedia platform – including the quarterly printed magazine – that celebrates the art of living well from a New Zealand perspective.

“Since 2010, Denizen has attracted a sophisticated and influential following of talented and discerning customers who have tremendous appetites for the new and the noteworthy,” says publisher/editor Claire Sullivan.

“Whether eating out regularly, renovating their own homes, or embarking upon international travel, Denizen’s audience are lifestyle aficionados that are extremely passionate about a life well lived. Expanding Design Folio into the Denizen family is a natural progression of the already hugely influential Denizen brand.

“Denizen Modern Living magazine will deliver knowledgable insight into the world of architecture and interior design. Published in July, each annual edition will provide inspiration via an extensive roll call of impressive local and international homes, restaurants, hotels, cafes and bars, delivering easily translatable and tangible design ideas, along with information on how and where to source each look locally.”

Denizen Modern Living website is now housed within the Denizen website, delivering daily updates from the world of design including new product releases, residential interiors, hotel design, restaurants, bars and cafes.

Denizen is published four times a year in March, June, September and November, offering insights into a broad range of subject matter including gastronomy, wellbeing, travel, culture, art, design, men’s and women’s fashion and etiquette advice.

“Denizen is committed to celebrating all that is positive about our ever-evolving, forward-thinking nation.” Sullivan says.
