AUCKLAND, Today: Phantom Billstickers has found yet another way to create unique environments for their posters – the latest being a full bathroom vanity for personal-care products provider Thankyou.

The vanity comes complete with water supply and an interactive mirror that displayed messages, plus a camera to capture it all.

Phantom marketing manager Ben Stonyer said: “The Thankyou range includes handwash, bodywash and lotion – and 100% of their profits are used to help people in need.

“So when Thankyou came to us with a show-stopping idea for a poster, we took to it like a duck to water.

“We identified the perfect Ponsonby location and helped the Thankyou team and their partners at Colab set it up. Then it was time to get down and dirty.

“Whenever someone approached the vanity, a message appeared in the mirror: This handwash changes lives.

“Everything was captured on camera, ready to go live on the brand’s Facebook and Instragram feeds.”

“Turn on the tap and out would flow brownish-tinged ‘dirty’ water. The mirror message then changed: This is the kind of water 844 million people use every day.

“The user was then instructed to try some Thankyou hand wash, and right on cue, the water flowing from the tap would turn crystal-clear.

“Everything was captured on camera, ready to go live on the brand’s Facebook and Instragram feeds. To really get the likes and shares flowing, some top social media influencers were standing by, ready to snap pics and push the story out to their tens of thousands of followers.

Thankyou’s Elly Bray said: “Thankyou is a grassroots people movement. It’s about communicating to the everyday person in the street how you can buy high-quality products and do some good too.

“We loved the idea of giving consumers a chance to try Thankyou hand wash while exposing them to our message. With street posters you can be creative and give people a close encounter with your brand.

“It was a dream working with Phantom. They understood what we were trying to achieve and worked hard to make it happen. Street posters with a power supply and plumbing aren’t thick on the ground, but Phantom really came up with the goods.”
