Dr Libby returns for new Sleepyhead range

Eighty-year-old Kiwi brand Sleepyhead has re-signed with Dr Libby for a new TV campaign (out of Westhaven-based integrated indie agency Chemistry Interaction) to promote its new Sleep Solution range, which sees the company expand into top-of-the-bed territory with the launch of a suite of pillows, duvets and waterproof mattress protectors. 

New 15 and 30 second TVCs have been made to support the launch, once again featuring holistic nutritionist Dr Libby Weaver, now in her fourth campaign with Sleepyhead.

The ad showcases Dr Libby making the perfect bed and explains how important it is to look further than pretty duvets and pillow cases – “it’s what’s underneath that is going to help you sleep properly at night,” she says.

Sleepyhead marketing manager Felicity Turner said: “We are excited to be working with Dr Libby again, this time focusing on the whole sleep experience. It’s not just about having the perfect bed – what goes on top is just as important. And it’s something Dr Libby really believes in too.

“A pillow is a bed for your head and, without the correct support, you can suffer neck, shoulder and back issues. The right duvet is vital to keep you cosy and your temperature right, and a mattress protector looks after your bedding investment and guards against dust mites and other nasties which can which can upset allergies, resulting in an interrupted sleep.

“Whether you’re a back, side or stomach sleeper; have recurring aches, pains and allergies; or get too hot or cold at night, there’s a Sleep Solution for you.”

The 15 and 30 second ads, created by Chemistry Interaction and directed by Paolo Rotondo at Fish, went to air yesterday (Sunday 11 October) across TV and online.
