The Marketing Association has released the detail of its upcoming 2017 Direct Marketing Conference, to be held at the Crowne Plaza Auckland on Tuesday 29 August.

The conference, which is sponsored by New Zealand Post runs a full working day. Business gets under way at 8.30am, and it’s a wrap at 5pm.

Speakers include The Content Brewery Sydney founder Malcolm Auld (his topic: Credibility of Programmatic), SpeakData Auckland MD Paul Hickey (World Masters Game case study), and Affinity ID Auckland VP Strategy Chris Macdonald (How can we save email as a channel?). Macdonald is a former Saatchi & Saatchi NZ digital directo., and Trustpower marketing manager Carolyn Schofield (Trustpower Case Study: Challenging the norm: Successful communication to match disruption and growth).

Unfortunately, M+AD could not obtain a hi-res photo of Schofield to run with her male co-speakers (above)

The emcee is NZI Insurance customer experience manager Emma McLean (couldn’t get a usable pic of her, either).

“Early-bird” tickets are now on sale. They cost a hefty $695+gst for you and me – but for someone with the good fortune to be an MA member, the entry price becomes a more alluring $396+gst per.

The special offer lasts only until Friday 14 July, when the non-member price reverts to the “standard” $735+gst.

M+AD gleaned most of the above info from www.marketing.org.nz and a regular MA e-newsletter (from marketing@mail.marketing.org.nz).

“This year’s Direct Marketing Conference will showcase the exciting and innovative possibilities in Direct Marketing right now, giving you actionable tools and tactics to get closer to your customers,” promises the newsletter blurb.
