FCB wins with smoke alarm print ad

FCB’s new New Zealand Fire Service campaign has shot straight into the top spot in this week’s Campaign Brief Bestadsontv print category.

The ad campaign alerts tight sleepers to the fact that when you sleep, you lose your sense of smell – a fact that makes the case for smoke alarms in bedrooms all the more compelling.

This week’s guest judges are Alex Little and Karsten Jurkschat, associate creative directors at McCann New York.

“Yes, it’s a very powerful image that anyone, regardless of their language, can understand,” they wrote. “Yes, it distils an incredibly important message into a call to action that could actually motivate people to check the safety of their fire alarms.”
