A short film shot in Australia by Auckland/Melbourne/Sydney-based commercials producer Finch has picked up a nomination for the 90th Academy Awards.
The Eleven O’clock was directed by Derin Seale and produced by Karen Bryson.
Finch EP Karen Bryson said: “You never think when you’re making a small budget short in Sydney that it will go this far, but it’s testament to everyone’s hard work, and Derin and Josh’s vision that it has.”
The film follows the delusional patient of a psychiatrist who believes he is actually the psychiatrist himself. As they each attempt to treat each other the session gets out of control.
The cast and crew included Derin Seale, Karen Bryson, Josh Lawson, Damon Herriman, Alyssa McClelland, Jessica Wren, Eliza Logan, Matt Toll, Elizabeth Mary Moore, Brenda Burcul, Drew Thompson, Arc Edit, Alt VFX, Song Zu, McGregor Casting, and DAM Studios.
