HAMILTON, Tuesday: Globox Digital Billboards is expanding out of Hamilton and Paeroa to see nine digital billboards light up New Zealand’s largest city.

Globox founder/ceo Allan Nicholson says the expansion into Auckland is a significant milestone for the digital out-of-home company.

“These nine additions are not only going to largely increase our billboard network but our client network too. The scope within Auckland is huge so we plan to leverage off this to generate some amazing results and continue growing our network.”

The rollout has begun with all billboards going live in August.

“This expansion will sees our network rise to 22 digital screens over the next few months, and with many more in the pipeline,” he said.

“We are going to be vastly increasing our billboard network with these Auckland additions and this is only the beginning. The growth that we achieve in the next six months is going to be incomparable to the last six.

“The Auckland additions are in Takanini, Avondale, Glenfield, Henderson, Onehunga, and the CBD.”

The Auckland additions are in Takanini, Avondale, Glenfield, Henderson and Onehunga plus an additional “spectacular” 8m x 16m portrait style digital billboard will soon be hitting Auckland CBD.

Nicholson: “We are determined to build our network to the point where we have at least 10 digital billboards in every major city and one digital billboard in every provincial town – while also expanding our network into Australia.

“Currently we have 36 additional digital billboards in the pipeline in excellent locations across the nation so we’re excited to see these come to life.

“In addition to the Auckland rollout, Globox will very soon be launching in Northland, with one billboard lighting up Whangarei.

“Hamilton’s busiest intersection near The Base shopping complex in Te Rapa will also be seeing four spectacular billboards go live in the next week which will be incredible brand exposure not only for every client who promotes their brand on the digital screens but for Globox too.”
