Westhaven-based agency Chemistry Interaction has just relaunched bed manufacturer Sleepyhead’s popular Chiropractic bed range via a new TVC campaign to showcase the bed that looks after your back – “just like your best mate does!”

New 15 and 30 second TVCs, directed by award-winning filmmaker Gregor Nicholas, shows early risers Ken & Gav, old friends and keen surfers, leaving the comforts of their Sleepyhead beds to take on the waves at New Zealand’s most beautiful beaches (the ad was filmed between Pakiri and Maori Bay).

The two struggle with waves and washed-up jellyfish but through it all they have each other’s back and at the end of their day they end up back in their trusty Sleepyhead Chiropractic beds.

“As the ad shows, it’s important to have people in your life who have your back no matter what the situation is but you also need to make sure you’re looking after your own health. That’s why choosing the right bed is so important.”

Fish’s Gregor Nicholas has directed advertisements across Europe and in the US and been nominated for an Emmy. Brands he has worked with include Toyota, Volkswagen, BMW and Adidas.

The 15 and 30-second ads, created by Chemistry Interaction, will appear on TV and online.
