AUCKLAND: Today: GroupM in New Zealand is beefing up its strategy crew with Dom Dipple hopping on board as a Strategist, reinforcing its strategic expertise.

This gig, freshly minted, is just one of the recent power moves GroupM New Zealand has been making under the helm of new CEO John Halpin.

Dom will be rolling with Emily Scovell, who came on as Chief Strategy Officer last December. Together, they’ll be diving deep with the leadership and client squads in GroupM’s agencies—EssenceMediacom, Wavemaker, and Mindshare—to cook up strategic magic, with a special sprinkle of digital savvy, idea generation, and innovation.

Dom’s last gig was at Groov Ltd, a mental health and performance start-up, where he led the creative charge as Head of Content.

“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining GroupM to work with John, Emily and the teams at EssenceMediacom.”

He’s got quite the track record, with over 12 years in the digital and content game, bouncing around agencies and tech start-ups in New Zealand, Australia, and Asia. He’s dabbled with brands like Spotify, Netflix, and American Express, to name a few.

Emily Scovell is stoked to have Dom on the team: “I am so excited to team up with Dom to bolster our next era capabilities across all three GroupM agencies. He has been coined an ‘ideas machine’ and I can already see him injecting his contagious passion and enthusiasm for the work into our teams.”

Dom’s equally thrilled: “It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining GroupM to work with John, Emily and the teams at EssenceMediacom, Wavemaker and Mindshare. There’s phenomenal energy across the teams and a hunger to deliver innovative and creative media solutions for our clients.”
