NZME survey shows LIVE still struggles (updated)

NewstalkZB leads its talkback rival LIVE by a country mile in a new radio survey, conducted by TNS for NZME. The ongoing gulf between the two illustrates the immense, seemingly insurmountable problem experienced by TV3 and many of the newer radio stations when they take on long-entrenched media like TVNZ and NewstalkZB (the latter also has a stronger signal – at least in Auckland).

The survey was conducted between Saturday 21 February and Saturday 4 April using a mixed paper based and online diary methodology. PWC has performed procedures to establish the robustness and independence of the methodology and process applied to produce the survey results.

The sample was huge – 6000 people in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
