JustONE introduces New World Clubcard to the North Island

New World Clubcard officially launches in the North Island this week, bringing the benefits already enjoyed by over 450,000 South Islanders to all New World stores nationwide. 

Initially launched in August 2014, the customer rewards programme was available to South Island customers only, up until now. With the addition of the North Island, New World Clubcard now also offers customers a choice of Fly Buys or Airpoints, plus instore discounts and other benefits.

“Clubcard has been a massive success in terms of delivering customer benefits and driving loyalty for New World, and it’s been great to continue the relationship with justONE to bring it to launch,” said Foodstuffs group marketing GM Steve Bayliss.

“Going national is a big step forward for us, and we’re anticipating a great customer reaction just as we saw in the South Island, where more than 84% of all sales include a Clubcard swipe.”

New World Clubcard has already been recognised with several effectiveness awards, including the NZ DM Awards RSVP Grand Prix and NZ DM Awards Gold for Best Loyalty Programme (plus an international Colloquy Award for Innovation in Retail Loyalty).

justONE managing director Ben Goodale said: “The launch of Clubcard as a nationwide programme signals New World’s desire to be an even more customer focused, technology and data-led organisation.

“This campaign is the culmination of a massive amount of planning and development and has been a great team effort from all parties involved.

“We’re thrilled to be a part of rolling out this programme nationally. It’s been amazing to see the Clubcard journey starting from a clean sheet of paper right through to becoming a nationwide loyalty programme, rich in customer benefits,” concludes Goodale.

The campaign has launched with a big mailout to existing Fly Buys and Airpoints customers who shop at New World, enclosing a new card and reasons to get shopping, plus a media campaign including TV, radio, social and digital channels.
