Six NZ campaigns from five agencies – Republik, DDB, Clemenger, OMD, and Barnes Catmur & Friends – have been selected by UK ad/media site Warc as among the 100 most effective marketing campaigns from 2015.

Republik, at 29th, led the way for Fuji Xerox Haus of Versant (this campaign also won five Golds and a Bronze at last week’s NZ Direct Marketing Awards).

“This is a huge result for us and client Fuji Xerox,” said Republik director Paul McNamara.

“When it comes to awards, we focus on strategy, effectiveness and hard results. Producing great creative off a solid platform is what we do well and over the past 12 months we’ve produced some amazing work that we’re really proud of, but most importantly, it’s delivered measureable results for our clients.

“As an agency we’ve always focused on producing outstanding creative campaigns that

consistently deliver to our clients’ bottom lines and this recognition is testament to that.”

DDB is 59th for Sky Bring Down The King; OMD and Clemenger BBDO Wellington shared 71st spot for NZTA Tinnyvision; Clemenger Wellington scored again with 73rd for NZTA Mistakes; Barnes Catmur & Friends (now BCF Dentsu) took 75th for Hell Pizza Rabbit Billboard, and DDB – at 96th for Steinlager Deep Dive – also scored twice.

Saatchi/OMD Sydney’s OPSM Penny the Pirate was named the world’s most effective marketing campaign.

The Warc 100 is based on performance in effectiveness and strategy competitions in the previous calendar year. To compile the rankings, Warc tracked more than 2000 winning campaigns from 79 different competitions.

The US retained its position as top country for strategy and effectiveness awards wins, the UK – at #2 – also held its previous position from last year, while India rose to third.

“The Warc 100 represents the best work in marketing – breakthrough campaigns that have delivered tangible results for their clients,” said Warc content head David Tiltman. “The rankings are a benchmark of excellence in the industry. The clients and agencies that feature in them are some of the best in the business.”
