Augusto Auckland has today unveiled Labour’s first 2017 election TVC, which focuses on the opportunity New Zealanders have “to seize the moment and vote for a party that will start to build a better country”.

Narrated by Jacinda Ardern, the ad features New Zealanders from all walks of life, following the leader from her offices in Parliament to speaking at the Labour Party campaign launch.

Created in little over two weeks and filmed over seven days, the ad was created and produced by Augusto.

Augusto co-founder Leon Kirkbeck said: “After Jacinda became leader, a collaboration of passionate creative individuals came together to devise a new advertising campaign that reflected Jacinda’s optimism, energy and determination to make New Zealand better.

“More of the same … or a party with a positive vision for the future?”

“The urgency required quick thinking and fast decisions, so after two concepting sessions, filming began and the final shots were captured live at the Labour Party campaign launch less than 48 hours ago.”

Labour campaign manager Andrew Kirton, said: “We are stoked with the new ad and hope New Zealanders will like it too.

“We wanted to convey a message that this election is a key moment in time, where we can either vote for more of the same, or vote for a leader and a party that has a positive vision for the future.”

The TVC soundtrack is Always On My Dub Mind by Tiki Taane. It goes to air tomorrow, Wednesday 23 August.
