The Marketing Association has installed Auckland advertising identity Ant Rainger (managing partner of Auckland agency Rainger & Rolfe) as a Life Member.
“Ant has been at the heart of the Marketing Association and its predecessor, the Direct Marketing Association, for nearly 30 years,” said MA ceo Gill Stewart today.
He has served on local committees, education planning teams, special interest groups, and is the MA Board’s longest standing member. “He has brought to our association skills and experience in governance, business ownership, strategic thinking, communications, creativity and media,” Stewart says.
“He has consistently been rated one of the highest performing board members in our annual peer review.”
Mentor
In 1988 Rainger was one of the first tutors of the inaugural Certificate in Direct Marketing and taught evening and weekend classes for over 10 years. He has personally mentored many of today’s top marketing professionals. His agency Rainger Direct was the sponsor of the Certificate of Direct Marketing top student scholarship award for many years.
“Ant is continuing to give his time and energy to our industry by remaining on the board for a further two years, but the board felt it was the right time to recognise his outstanding contribution to our industry and association from today,” said Stewart.
