‘Made in Asia’ entry call

AdFest Thailand has issued its entry call for the longest-running ad awards show in the Asia Pacific region  – the 21st AdFestT Lotus Awards.

“Last year, AdFest celebrated its 20th anniversary and it was our best and boldest festival yet. In 2018, we are entering our third decade as a festival that’s proudly ‘Made in Asia’,” says AdFest prez Jimmy Lamm.

There are 18 categories, seven of which will be judged remotely in the first round of judging. The entry deadline for the following categories is Friday 12 January:

  • Effective Lotus
  • Film Lotus (Internet Film & Other Film only)
  • INNOVA Lotus
  • Integrated Lotus
  • Interactive Lotus
  • Mobile Lotus
  • Radio Lotus

The deadline for all other categories is Friday 19 January 2018:

  • Branded Content Lotus
  • Design Lotus
  • Direct Lotus
  • Film Craft Lotus
  • Film Lotus (excluding Internet Film & Other Film)
  • Media Lotus
  • New Director Lotus
  • Outdoor Lotus
  • Press Lotus
  • Print Craft Lotus
  • Promo Lotus

AdFest has introduced sub-categories to the Innova Lotus category, and for the first time, shortlisted INN Innova entries are required to present their works to juries and delegates on the morning of Wednesday 21 March 2018 in Pattaya.

Adfest chairman Vinit Suraphongchai said, “We want to give the creators of shortlisted Innova entries the chance to present their work to a live audience at AdFest. Not only will it give them the opportunity to explain their thinking directly to our judges, but our audience will learn so much from the case studies they present.”

The 2018 Adfest runs from Wednesday 21 March to Friday 24 March at the Peach Royal Cliff Resort, Pattaya, Thailand, with the theme Transform.
