The Comms Council has extended the entry deadline for its Individual Marketer of the Year – a standalone award held in association with the Effies – to 4pm this Tuesday 29 August.

This award recognises the role that an individual marketer plays in the development of effective work across a year.

Judges will be looking for a marketing client who has lead their agencies in the marketing of a brand which has clearly excelled not only in the last 12 months, but who are setting their brand up for the long term.

“The Judges want marketers who inspire their agency, who challenge them whilst giving them the freedom to succeed, and whose business results were the outcomes of genuine collaboration and friendship,” said Comms Council events & sponsorship manager Natasha Galloway.

The award seeks evidence of a compelling brand story that inspires and motivates employees and partners, and is evident in all of the brand’s touchpoints.

“This is an award for a client that is great to work with and gets great results out of their agencies,” Galloway says. “It’s therefore about more than a single campaign. The marketer of the year should be an inspirational figure to other marketers, who can represent marketing to the wider business community.”

It costs $400+gst to enter ($800 for non-members).
