MediaWorks Radio and NZ Indian network Radio Tarana have formed a new partnership they believe will bring both parties fresh commercial opportunities. The partnership provides a framework for MediaWorks and Radio Tarana to collaborate commercially, extending each partner’s reach and opening up new opportunities for clients.
“This is a fantastic opportunity and we’re excited by the new partnership,” said Radio Tarana managing director Robert Khan. “The arrangement protects our unique identity as an independent radio station, connecting with the Indian community throughout New Zealand, but gives us the added commercial benefits of being part of the country’s leading media company.
“We have worked alongside the MediaWorks team for a long time, and are looking forward to collaborating more closely and continuing to deliver a high quality service for our Indian communities.”
Details of how the new arrangement will actually work have yet to be announced.
MediaWorks Radio ceo Wendy Palmer said: “Radio Tarana is a wonderful radio station – the most trusted source of information and entertainment for this extremely engaged and loyal audience. I am delighted to be announcing this new partnership.”
MediaWorks Commercial Director Paul Hancox said: “This partnership provides exciting opportunities to take the MediaWorks stable of brands into new markets, and to work with the Radio Tarana team for the benefit of all our customers.”
