AUCKLAND, Wednesday: oOh!media is getting behind Men’s Health Week by encouraging men to take an online test for mental & physical health.

oOh! head of marketing Kelly Harvey said: “The statistics are frightening. On average, across the globe, men live 6-8 years fewer than women, and men are more likely to get sick from serious health problems than women.

“We’ve supported this important campaign by providing media space across street furniture and retail centres throughout New Zealand, featuring a call-to-action for members of the public to remind the beloved men in their life to pay attention to their biggest asset, their health, by taking the Men’s Health Week test and finding out their health score.

“To entice the ad industry, oOh! is giving away a pair of Moscot sunglasses and an Uppercut Grooming Pack.”

“To further entice the ad industry to get involved, oOh! is giving away a pair of Moscot sunglasses and an Uppercut Grooming Pack, important things to help a health man look even better.

“oOh! is happy to be supporting this initiative. If we can encourage all the men in our lives – partners, fathers, brothers, friends – to visit their doctor and focus on their health, then at least we’ve contributed to raising awareness and hopefully action.

“Why focus on men’s health?

“Compared to women, men visit the doctor less frequently, have shorter visits, and only attend when their illness is in its later stages.”

To enter, participants complete the one-minute test and send oOh! a screenshot of the completed test.

Kelly Harvey: “Participants can blank out their score – oOh! just wants to know people are thinking about their health.”
