AUCKLAND, Today: The Design Office is the dedicated branding and identity design wing of Motion Sickness. The advertising and design agencies coexist under one roof but operate independently, merging art and commerce in a modern marriage.

The Motion Sickness Design Office brings the agency’s disruptive creativity to identity and design. Since its inception, design has been central to much of Motion Sickness’ award-winning work. They’ve refreshed identities for iconic Aotearoa brands like Sorted, Big Save, and Whānau Ora, and created brands from scratch for Frank Energy and the Ministry for Ethnic Communities.

“Our new design office is a mindset – a fictional space for discussing hierarchy, balance, type, and branded pens.”

With this new offering, clients can get a brand facelift without committing to an integrated campaign or a cinematic 90” TVC. The Design Office explains, “Our new design office is a mindset – a fictional space for discussing hierarchy, balance, type, and branded pens. This allows us to explore a brand’s inner self without dismissing these elements as merely ‘executional.’”

The Design Office website features a design translator, helping clients and designers decode feedback, requests, and designer notes. Along with this new technology, Motion Sickness has strengthened its design team with talented new hires.

The Design Office doors are metaphorically open for all brands. Visit designoffice.nz for more details.
