AUCKLAND, Today: Kingsland-based digital agency Pilot (formerly known as Digital EQ) has changed its company name and brand, saying the change better reflects the ongoing commitment to providing a human-centred approach to digital marketing for fashion & lifestyle brands across Australasia.

Pilot provides digital consultancy services to fashion, lifestyle, arts and design brands in New Zealand and Australia.

Cofounder Tom Gibson said: “The change highlights the progression and business growth cofounder Ashley Procter and I have seen since establishing the agency in 2019 and more aptly aligns Pilot with its client base, made up of contemporary lifestyle, fashion, and visual arts businesses.

“Brands include NZ sustainable lighting designer David Trubridge.”

“At Pilot we provide a brand-led holistic approach to digital consulting and marketing that other agencies do not. We operate as partners rather than service providers. We wanted to set ourselves apart by developing a brand that would sit alongside our clients and better reflect our company vision.

“Our clients’ businesses are built on that human-to-brand connection, and while our expertise is digital and results-driven, we wanted to create a brand with the warmth and human feel of the brands we work with.

“Designed by award-winning Auckland design agency Seachange, the new Pilot name and identity was inspired by navigation based on the insight that many businesses struggle to find transparency in the digital world, leaving them feeling removed and untrusting of the industry.

“Pilot has seen robust growth in client base and revenue with clients based in New Zealand and Australia, working with a portfolio that includes leather goods label Yu Mei, fmcg brand Fix & Fogg, sustainable lighting designer David Trubridge, and leading NZ and Australian designer fashion brands.
